Cabbage in coconut

Cabbage In Coconut recipe is a gravy recipe. … When the cabbage is tender add in the thick coconut milk. Let the gravy boil once and lift from fire.

Item required
2 tablespoons oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
10 cabbage leaves, thinly sliced
2 fresh green chillies, chopped and seeds
removed
2 curry leaves
2 tablespoons desiccated coconut
Preparation method
1 Heat oil in frying pan, saute onion until tender.
2 Add garlic, mustard, cumin, turmeric, cabbage, chillies, curry leaves and coconut. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes.
3 Remove lid, stir over heat for 10 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
SERVES 4

Chilli chicken

Boneless pieces of chicken flavored with pepper and chili powders, spices and herbs.It is very tasty recipe.

Item required
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon ground paprika
V. teaspoon ground cloves ‘A teaspoon ground mustard
V. teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground turmeric
3 cloves garlic, crushed
4 tablespoons plain yoghurt
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 kg chicken pieces
4 tablespoons oil
2 onions, sliced in rings and soaked
in lemon juice
Preparation method
1 Combine chilli, paprika, cloves, cinnamon, turmeric, garlic, yoghurt lemon juice in a bowl. Add chicken marinate at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
2 Heat oil in a frying pan, add chicken
single layer, fry on all sides until lightiy browned.
3 Transfer chicken and sauce to an ovenproof dish. Bake, uncovered, in moderate oven for 15 minutes or until chicken is tender.
4 Serve garnished with onion rings.

Bombay whole fish curry

Generally, fish is a tasty food item to eat. All the people, who are non-veg likes to eat fish. Even the kids too, eat it happily.

Item required
60 g ghee
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 dried red chillies, cut lengthways and
chopped, seeds removed
1 tablespoon ground coriander 1 teaspoon ground turmeric 1 teaspoon ground mustard 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
11/4 cups (300 ml) coconut milk
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 kg whole fish
Preparation method
1 Melt ghee in a frying pan. Saute , garlic, ginger, chillies, coriander, taunt mustard and chilli, for 3 minutes.
2 Add coconut milk and lemon juice. To boil, reduce heat to low, simmer uncovered until thickened.
3 Add fish, cover, cook over low heat fc – 20 minutes or until fish is tender; turn once, stir sauce occasionally.
SERVES 4 To 6
